I thought it interesting to look at the actual definitions of a promotional calendar

Marketing process of promoting: the act or process of making a product, cause, or organization more widely known or more successful

Promotional Calendar

Something that promotes your product or service during all 365 days of the year, month after month.

An inexpensive way of becoming more successful by the day
