Top text tips for promotional success

- More top text tips for those promotional books and pads

Promotional Text and Copy

The 7 most common disasters for presenting your copy as voted by my clients, friends and associates.

These all make your text difficult to read - so your clients will either not read it or become distracted from your selling message. Either way you are losing impact and sales.

Small text in fuzzy colours - Use crisp colours

Text with bold drop shadows are really difficult to read

Reversed out coloured text in large solid areas especially under 8pt type - these look fuzzy

Coloured text on coloured pictures - you just can't see the contrast

Substitute fonts, fancy freebie fonts from the net and font incompatibility - your service bureau will have a large number of fonts - use one of theirs and it will be more successful

If you can convert your text to outlines - but remember to proof read everything first as you cannot easily add new text to outline text.

Too many fonts make the text look amateurish and you loose credibility.
